Mark Barker, DVM
Dr. Barker graduated from Curry High School in 1977. He attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee for his undergraduate studies and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with his DVM in 1984.
Dr. Barker began his professional career with one year of pharmaceutical research. He then worked for six years as a small animal and emergency care practitioner. Dr. Barker worked as a large animal veterinarian for 30 years, completing home visits throughout the north Alabama area. During his 39 years of practice, he has worked as a relief veterinarian at approximately 50 practices. Dr. Barker’s diverse experience has allowed him to work with a variety of practitioners and develop a unique practice style that focuses on providing the best care for your animals in a way that values your time and resources.
